constantly re-downloads deleted emails and calls them "new". Wish I'd stayed with the older version...

Great interface for the size of the screen, great that messages get broken unless you ask to DL them. Needs improvement on the following areas: - When you erase an account that you don't use anymore it resets the device and the account does not get deleted. - When you erase a message but leave it on the server so you DL it to your PC at a later time, and you also cleans it from the trash folder on Versa, it gets DLed again as a new message. So basically whatever message I want to leave in the folder needs to stay in the device or else it will tell me I have a new message when in reality it is that same message again. Overall satisfied, needs these few improvements.

Needs improvement. It is better than the previous version. Needs a spell checker and it take a long while once I have downloaded my mail to display them. I thought they would of improved this version by now. It is a 1 1/2 years old. Please update.

If you JUST want to sync company email then it's great. But BEWARE, it will duplicate personal contacts, delete palm calender items, and prevent you from being able to ever hotsync your contacts

Went through all the email programs. This seems to be pretty good. You cannot have it on vibrate and audio mode at the same time though. Perhaps they will update this some time in the future.

I've been using this for a couple of months now and it works great! The combination of this with the Exchange ActiveSync Update has my e-mail, contacts, and calendar items syncing beautifully, either as items arrive at our Exchange 2003 SP2 server, or by schedule. I'm very pleased Palm has offered this to Treo 650 users, at such a reasonable price, as it comes with the Treo 680 which I also have to support at the company I work for. I like having a common version to support across the different devices.

It worked for a very short time. Email sync's ok but calendar only syncs if appt made on treo. Appointments added to Outlook don't sync to Treo. Contacts generate duplicates like rabbits multiply. Lots of post on internet from people like me. Trying to get palm to fix this program.

I use this package to check mail on my smtp account (not via Exchange server). It works well but I have noticed 2 issues. Sometimes I am unable to disconnect my data connection. Not critical, but very annoying. I generally open another application (a web browser) and use that to disconnect. My other issues is that Versamail needs a spell checker. In all, not a bad SW package, but it needs some work to be considered "professional".

My TX was constantly crashing every time I tried to sync with my company's Exchange Server using Versamail 3.1c. After purchasing the upgrade to version 3.5, it's been MUCH better. Syncing emails works flawlessly every time. The calander and contact sync is hit and miss -- sometimes it works, and other times it hangs, requiring a soft reset. When it works, it works perfectly. Therefore, I set up the preferences to have the sync button get emails only. I choose "sync all" from the options menus only when I need to update my calendar (much less often then I retrieve emails). This really should have been a free upgrade from Palm ... but at least it fixed the main problem.

This software is extremely buggy. After dozens of hard resets in the past month, I am still not able to get it to work properly. Push Mail is working fine but Calendar does not sync correctly with Exchange. Attempt to resync calendar will cause all calendar entries in the Treo 650 to be wiped out. The Palm support helpdesk was not able to offer any help. According to postings in the Palm Support Forum, many people are experiencing similar problems but there was no response from Palm. Don't try it until they have a new release. In the meanwhile, I want my money back.

I installed this with the EAS Update for my Treo 650 and it is awesome! Push mail works from my Exchange server and I can search our global catalog. I must confess that I have had a couple of instances where selecting an address from a global catalog search resulted in the Treo rebooting. This could be the result of a 3rd party app, though.

this product is a big improvement from earlier versions of versamail - that simply did not work at all most of the time with exchange - unfortunately the new exchange contact sync deleted a whole bunch of my personal contacts. Be very careful to have everything you consider valuable backed up before you use this software - it WILL randomly delete things. I don't know how palm can get away with releasing garbage like this.
