Treo Voice Dialing

I purchased this software to use with a Cardo bluetooth Motercycle headset and Treo 755p. I didn't want to have to handle the phone while riding. I hoped it would stay active all the time. The phone already has a one button dial. Now I have to go to the menu, find Voice Dial and select, not very safe on a motorcycle....

I was able to set the button on the side as my favorite button to launch voiceDial! It's VERY simple and so far I've had NO problems....(two and a half weeks)

The program is fairly easy to respond to voice commands once you go through the ten simple steps. It is much better than VoiceDialIt as that program requires that you program in your entire Contact list. I have yet to figure out how to activate it without going into applications, and have also not figured out how to use it with my Bluetooth in initiating calls. Other than that it works well with my 700p

This program is ok. I like the fact that you don't have to "train" it. However, it's slower than programs that you train. I don't like the fact that I can't use it through a bluetooth headset (that may be a problem with the Treo). And I the prompt voice is weak. Still, it's better than nothing for the Treo.

I recently downloaded this application (a few minutes ago) and I have already figured it out! It takes a little setting tweaking but it is easy to use. You can set it so you only have to push one button to use it.

This software has much to desired, first of all the voice recognition dos not work well. If you have more then twenty entries on it it will fail to recognize the prompt over half of the time and instead give another number. In short it is a terrible program. Shi L.

I need help with this program. It did work for a short while, now it just opens and says Please wait...VoiceSignal voice activates your contacts. For larger phonebooks this can take a while but it never finishes this.I have uninstalled and reinstalled it just does the same thing.

If it ran constantly I would have given it 4 stars. But because I have to initiate it manually, meaning I have to grab the phone and press a button (or more) to initiate Voice Dial, I might as well press 1 or 2 more to dial the number myself. If I could initiate Voice Dial via my bluetooth device I would have given it 5 stars. Yes, I can use my BT device once the call is placed but that is not the point. I can already do that dialing the person manually. I would not recommend purchasing this software until both above criteria can be met.

Great product for my 755p. Used the free trial version and paid the one time fee for the full version. No problems with setup and no voice training required. Just have to learn to wait for beeps before speaking. Highly recommend this product.

It's far from perfect. I would have been happy have a built in app I set per contact like most cell phones. In trial I had problems with voice recognition even after playing with sensitivity. Voice playback showed distortion and announcements were too low volume no matter what my volume setting was. Anyway, it does not work with Bluetooth, so what's the point?

Had an early version of this product that didn't work this version is amazing! It is correct nearly every time. No more steering with my knee and swerving all over the road!

This is a pretty good program. Does what it says it does and best yet for a one time only charge. Has some problems with names that any person would also have a problem with. I usually only use it when driving, but, pun intended, it could be a real lifesaver. Never had any resets or problems with it.

Works with Good Messaging installed! Finally! Ditto all the good things you're about to read below. The guy behind me gave it just one star because there was no one-touch button to launch the application. I'm not sure which device he is using, but most Palm devices have the ability to map applications to any key so that press-and-hold of that key will launch the application.

tried the free trial. It failed to understand most of the names i tried in a quiet room. Also, the need to select voice dial from the menu by key strokes before you can use it sort of defeats the purpose of being able to dial when you can't see the phone clearly. Maybe I'm missing something, but this was definitely not " the press of an easily found button" feature that all of my much less expensive cell phones have had.

I had the older version and it dialed names well, but this verson also opens applications. You can even start an email by saying "email Bob Jones". The send email box will appear with Bob's email address. Great product. I would highly recommend it.

Great application! Does exactly what it says it will do. I've used it for two weeks and it hasn't made a single 'mistake'. Plus, if you have multiple phone numbers for the same contact and don't specify which to call in your original command, the program ASKS you which number you'd like it to dial!

AMAZING! Installed software it dialed the number! No training required. It even dials in my Taxi on the highway with the windows down. You will love it once you try it.

Very impressive. It works well, and if it doesn't understand you, it will ask for clarification. Price is reasonable also. I wish I'd bought it sooner.

works better than I thought! the other review saying it does not work is completely wrong. it always picks up what I am saying. very handy tool. I would suggest this to anyone with this phone. this is a must add-on for palm treo users!

I've had this software for over three quarters of a year and tried it on two different Treo 700P devices. It does not work as portrayed, it sometimes works properly but mostly does not. The software frequently will not recognize the users pronouncement of very simple names. It is very frustrating to use and needs significant improvement. I would not buy it again knowing what I know now!!
