  What is this?

  The HotSync User ID is the name assigned to your Palm OS device as determined by you during your first HotSync. Many software titles require this due to the registration code to unlock them is based on it if applicable. To locate your HotSync User ID, do the following on your Palm OS handheld:

  1. From the main Applications screen, locate and tap on the HotSync icon.
  2. Note the name at the upper right - that is your HotSync User ID.
  3. Alternatively, you may locate it within the Palm Desktop software at the upper right hand corner of the Palm Desktop to the right of User ID.
  4. Please note that the HotSync User ID is case and punctuation sensitive.

  The Owner Name is the name assigned to your Windows Mobile device. Many software applications base their registration code on the owner information, so you need to supply the correct name to get the correct registration (or unlock) code. To locate your owner information do the following on your Palm Windows Mobile Smartphone.

  1. From your device keyboard tap on the Start key (Windows key).
  2. From the Start menu, tap on Settings
  3. From the Settings Screen, tap on "Owner Information"
  4. Note the entry in the "Name" field (the first field.)
